Our Recipes & Ingredients

What's important to your customers when choosing a raw pet food?
We never compromise on quality or price. Proud supporters of British farmers.
Our complete recipes have the freshest fruit and vegetables and we do not use any artificial additives, colours, preservatives, fillers or grains.
Variety is the spice of life which is why we love developing new recipes, as well as our popular seasonal Limited Editions such as Christmas Feast, to tempt and treat dogs and cats with every meal.
Our recipes offer something for every dog and cat from those needing to gain weight to leaner options for those who need to shed a few pounds! Here's a little more about each of the ingredients we use:
Chicken
The chicken we use at Natural Instinct is ethically sourced. We don’t believe in battery farming and we don’t believe in feeding our pets with food we wouldn’t consider good enough quality to eat ourselves.
Lamb
Natural Instinct lamb recipes are naturally higher in fat and therefore an excellent source of energy for dogs that need to gain weight or use up lots of energy in work.
Beef
We source our beef from a local supplier - we’ve found it’s a staple favourite of many dogs, plus it’s an excellent source of protein.
Green Tripe
Our only non-human grade meat – green tripe is a natural source of digestive enzymes helping to purify and cleanse the blood and remove toxins, parasites and fungus. Green tripe also improves metabolism, hormone function and boosts the immune system. It is also a fantastic source of natural probiotics.
White Tripe
Our white tripe is green tripe that has been washed and had the fat trimmed from it. We use this particular tripe in our Natural Special Diet as it is easily digestible meaning it is great for those dogs that have sensitive digestion. It is also very low fat so perfect for dogs that need to lose a little weight. Our white tripe is washed not bleached. This ensures all quality nutrient values are maintained.
Turkey
A much drier meat than chicken, turkey is ideal for dogs that may be allergic to other sources of protein. It is also relatively low in fat, so great for doggies on a diet.
Duck
Sourced from one of the finest game suppliers in the UK, duck is relatively high in fat, so can be used to help with weight gain and is ideal for working dogs with higher energy levels.
Salmon
Our salmon is responsibly sourced from Scottish salmon farms and is a rich source of omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin D. Salmon is very good for the immune system as well as joint health.
White Fish Mix and Herring
As with the salmon, our white fish and herring is an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin D as well as being a low calorie protein source. This makes it a great ingredient for dogs and cats that need to lose a little weight.
Fruit & Vegetables
Fibre, omega 3 essential fatty acids, enzymes, antioxidants, phytochemicals, soluble carbohydrates for energy - all the added ‘good stuff’ that keeps them healthy and full of life. As dogs can’t process cellulose, we grind all fruit and vegetables twice to ensure our pets can absorb all the beneficial goodness.
