Sue is Chairwoman of the Guild of Dog Trainers, Britain's top professional dog training organisation. She uses her academic psychology qualifications to underpin her work with dogs and their owners.
Sue is a specialist in operant conditioning and its uses in training and behaviour modification. She runs regular courses in the science of operant conditioning and its practical application in communicating with animals particularly dogs. Sue is an accomplished advanced trainer and has successfully trained many dogs to the very top level in many areas including criminal work, agility, scent work etc and this can be seen in the popular Cheshire Dog Display Team, Britain's premier dog display team which she is a director. Her expertise is widely called upon in the media and she has numerous television credits with the BBC, ITV, S4C and many other production companies. Sue is a regular contributor in the dog press and is a feature writer and expert for Dogs monthly magazine, she also writes a regular column for the Ourdogs newspaper.
This film is fundamentally about how dog owners should communicate and train their dogs. Sue imparts her expertise so that dog owners and trainers can understand dogs, how they learn and the most effective way to teach them what we want them to do.
