We at Natural Instinct are very pleased and proud to be associated with Nick Thompson BSc. (Hons), BVM&S, VetMFHom MRCVS, our consultant veterinary.
Nick's assistance has been invaluable in developing the Natural Instinct brand, and for helping us to ensure our products are of maximum benefit to your dogs - as well as of course ensuring our recipies remain as delicious and appetizing as ever!
As well as assisting us, Nick has a very busy veterinary practice in Bath, and also attends clients in both London and Swindon on a regular basis - or indeed wherever he may be needed.
He is not only passionate about nutrition, but also all aspects of holistic veterinary medicine including acupuncture, herbs and homeopathy. He lectures at Southampton University in animal behavior as well as finding time to write for Dogs Today magazine as a regular contributor.
Whilst Nick is only able to treat animals specifically under his care, he has kindly agreed to answer any questions you may have about your dog's nutritional needs and whether Natural Instinct is for you (or rather your dog!). As a holistic practitioner I advocate raw food to all my canine patients. I find it can transform many skin diseases, diarrhoea problems, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, energy and aggression issues. However, some clients don’t have the time to feed really good raw food. Therefore Natural Instinct is a fabulous alternative. I love the fact it is hand made fresh each week from human grade meat, delivered to the door for ease of use and dogs love it!
If it was up to me, I would take all the dogs in the UK off processed kibble and move them onto a raw food diet. I think the result would be revolutionary – a massive drop in many diseases we now consider to be ‘normal’. Making raw food at home is the ideal, but these products are a fantastic alternative for busy people. Please do try them. Your dog will thank you, I promise!
